Slated for September 10-11, “The Next Wave” Artists Salon is a two-day event that brings together artists of all different backgrounds and mediums in a “found space” in downtown Elgin.

Artists will have up to a 10’ x 10’ space to exhibit work that is based on the theme of “work”. Performance artists will have a larger space to perform pieces of the same theme. The Salon is geared to attract up-and-coming Artists with innovative approaches to their art form; however it is open to Artists of all ages and genres.

This is a radically-inclusive event, so that means all work is permitted.

  • The Next Wave Art Salon will be taking place on Sept 10-11
  • There will be 3 $1000 prizes awarded.
  • To become an artist in the salon, you just need to fill out the form below.

    • Steps to participate:

    1. Submit the Form
    2. The theme is “Work” – so think about what that means to you.
    3. Create 2 pieces of work with the theme “WORK”
    4. Come to the Salon and have a blast.

    Use Agreement

    The marketing imagery for the Salon will be a mash-up of images from participating Artists. By sending us an image of your work, you are agreeing to allow us to use it in any and all marketing for “The Next Wave” Art Salon and you will receive no compensation for its usage. Your name will be included in the photo credit, but will not necessarily be attached to your image.

    The intention of the Salon is to network and make some friends, get together and make cool stuff. All the artists will be given a list of everyone's email contact information to stay in touch with the people you meet.
